Illustrations for Consett Children’s Book Trail

with No Comments

Recently I was really pleased to be asked to create the illustrations and map and lay out the leaflet for the Consett Children’s Book Trail which starts tomorrow. The trail has been organised by Briary Local, who have set up the trail to help encourage families to explore the local area and visit local businesses. It looks like lots of fun (there are prizes too, I hear!), so if you’re in the local area, click on the book trail link to register and get out and about and explore! You’ll also find the venues where you can pick up copies of the leaflet on the registration page.

The illustrations are all of landmarks in the Consett area, and if you have not visted the area before, some of them may look a bit unusual! A lot of the landmarks reference the former Consett Steel Works, such as Terris Novalis, and the Transformers. We live in a wonderful part of the country, so if you ever do get the chance to get to north east England, please come and visit the area and take a good look around!

Say hello!
