Happy New Year! This year I aim to give you a free crafty download each month, it may be stationery, background papers, templates… who knows?! This month there are actually three free downloads as well as a project to go with them.
This star shaped desk calendar is an old project, but one that I make myself every year, as it’s so useful on my work desk where I can see what’s coming up each month at a glance. Here are the instructions on how to make the calendar (I made this video a couple of years ago) – and then when you’ve watched that, come back and grab the free downloads to go with this year’s calendar!
The background papers for the calendar can be made in several different ways. This year I’ve created backgrounds using Distress Inks and rubber stamps, or you could use gelatin plate printing (see link for how to make your own gelatin plate and a few experiments), scrapbook papers, or you can download one of my first three freebies of the year, this background paper set, made from the Distress Ink backgrounds I’ve used in this year’s calendar.
The second freebie is the 2019 calendar blanks for you to use.
The third freebie is the mini envelope and pocket templates file that is mentioned in the video.
And lastly, here’s my calendar for 2019! I hope you’ll have a go at making the calendar, and let me know how you get on in the comments below!
