The printmaking workshops I’ve been running with Colour Your Life this month (and next) are going really well, and everyone is producing such beautiful work, I just had to share it with you!
These first pieces are collagraph prints, where the printing plate is created from items such as leaves, twigs, cardboard, lace, wool, rice, lentils, bubble wrap… basically anything that you think would make an interesting print. The printing plate is then inked up, the paper dampened, and then a print is taken from the plate. It creates some fantastic results:
The following pieces are all created using the painterly printmaking technique I was experimenting with in my previous blog, I absolutely love how these have come out!
